Coalfire Certification, Inc.
Alpharetta, Georgia certification body whose published ANAB scope lists ISO 9001 for information technology, ISO/IEC 27001, and ISO/IEC 42001.
Coalfire Certification, Inc. is the legal name on an ANAB scope of accreditation, accreditation ID MS-4539, issue date 13 August 2026. The address on that scope, and on the certification body's contact page, is 12735 Morris Road, Suite 250, Alpharetta, Georgia. The scope dates this accreditation to 17 December 2014 and shows an expiry of 17 December 2028. It is based on ISO/IEC 17021-1:2015 option A as of 14 March 2017. The public site calls this firm the certification arm of Coalfire Systems, Inc. A proposal that says only "Coalfire" has not named who will sign.
Who should shortlist Coalfire Certification
This is a U.S. management-system registrar for service organizations. The quality statement says the body administers audits for cloud and technology, healthcare, and financial services. ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 9001:2026 are not on this issue.
The August 2026 scope lists ISO 9001 initial accreditation and ISO 9001:2015 as of 9 September 2020. Under ANAB Accreditation Rule 20, that quality line is economic sector 33, information technology. It does not print a wider quality table. ISO/IEC 27001 initial accreditation is 17 December 2014. The issue lists ISO/IEC 27001:2013 as of that date and ISO/IEC 27001:2022 as of 8 March 2023. ISO/IEC 42001 initial accreditation and ISO/IEC 42001:2023 are both dated 17 June 2025. Neither line has a sector table. Which certificate this cycle is for is ISO 27001 vs ISO 42001. If the other artifact is a NIST AI Risk Management Framework profile, use ISO 42001 vs NIST AI RMF.
The same issue also lists ISO 22301:2019 as of 27 April 2021, ISO/IEC 20000-1:2018 as of 24 February 2021, ISO/IEC 27701:2019 as of 18 March 2020, and ISO/IEC 27701:2025 as of 10 August 2026. This directory does not tag business continuity, service management, or privacy. The services page also names ISO/IEC 27017, ISO/IEC 27018, and Cloud Security Alliance STAR. This ANAB issue does not list those as separate standards.
Offices under ANAB Accreditation Rule 6 are Manchester (Suite 28 A, City Tower, Piccadilly Plaza, United Kingdom), Greenwood Village, Colorado (8480 East Orchard Road, Suite 5800), and Addison, Texas (14131 Midway Road, Suite 1130). A footnote says a critical location is defined in that rule, and it does not name which office. The scope carries an IAF MLA mark note for applicable programs approved as of 22 October 2018. This profile did not match a UKAS schedule to this legal entity.
The services page says optional readiness assessments, including a mock audit, are delivered by this body's own lead auditors. The quality statement says impartiality is managed at staff and account level, with an independent external committee that can decide on threats to impartiality. Those pages do not bar a readiness auditor from the certification audit, and they do not describe a wall between this body and work sold by Coalfire Systems, Inc. Read consultant vs certification body before you treat a group name as two permissions.
What to verify in a quote
- The legal entity is Coalfire Certification, Inc., not Coalfire Systems, Inc.
- The mark and the edition your customer named. ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and ISO/IEC 42001:2023 are on this issue. ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 9001:2026 are not.
- For ISO 9001, that sector 33, information technology, is the activity you will claim. A plant code is not on this table.
- For ISO/IEC 27701, the edition. Both 2019 and 2025 are printed. This directory does not tag either.
- Which office will audit, and whether that office is the critical location the footnote does not name.
- Whether the lead auditors who ran readiness are barred from the certification audit.
- Transfer terms if a certificate already exists. That move is a certificate transfer. Name the accepting legal entity.
When the scope on the page is the scope you can staff, send one pack through Get quotes. Re-check the live schedules before Stage 1, not only when you first open the directory. The method is how to verify accreditation.
Verify the issue on the ANAB scope for MS-4539 (issue date 13 August 2026) and on the certification body's site, Coalfire Certification. Then re-check ANAB's directory, UKAS, and IAF CertSearch.
