DEKRA is a German testing, inspection, and certification group with a sizable automotive and industrial following. Its certification companies issue management-system certificates for quality, environment, safety, and information security in multiple regions.

Shortlist logic

Manufacturers that already use DEKRA for vehicle, industrial, or workplace-safety services sometimes want one more familiar name on the ISO 9001 or ISO 45001 RFQ. Professional-services and technology buyers may care more about the 27001 and 42001 side. DEKRA Certification, Inc. has publicly described ANAB accreditation activity for ISO/IEC 42001; that is a reason to check DEKRA for AIMS, not a reason to skip the directory lookup.

RFQ reminders

• Name the DEKRA legal entity that will hold the contract.
• Ask for IAF-code competence and sample auditor biographies.
• Clarify whether 42001 is offered under ANAB, another AB, or not yet in your country.

Accreditation is time-bound. Re-check shortly before Stage 1, not only when you first collect brochures.
