Intertek

Total Quality Assurance group that includes the former SAI Global Assurance certification business.

Intertek is a global assurance, testing, and certification company. In 2021 it completed the acquisition of SAI Global Assurance. In several markets — especially Australia and New Zealand — buyers still meet the registrar under the Intertek SAI Global name. For RFQs, treat “Intertek” and “SAI Global” as a family of legal entities, not a single certificate issuer.

Why this entry is on the directory

Mid-market manufacturers that already use Intertek for product testing, supply-chain assurance, or market-access work often ask whether the same group can run ISO 9001 or ISO 14001 certification. That can be convenient. It is not a reason to skip accreditation checks.

On the quality → security → AI path, Intertek SAI Global has publicly positioned itself around ISO/IEC 42001 with JAS-ANZ accreditation. If your customers or regulators care which accreditation body sits behind the AIMS certificate, that mark is a factual differentiator — provided it is the entity you actually contract.

RFQ notes

  • State the legal entity, not only the brand, on the statement of work.
  • Ask whether 9001 / 14001 / 45001 / 27001 / 42001 can be delivered as one integrated program or only as separate certificates.
  • If you hold a legacy SAI Global certificate, ask about transfer and certificate-mark changes after the Intertek combination.
