TÜV Rheinland of North America

TÜV Rheinland of North America, Inc. is the legal name on an ANAB scope of accreditation issued 9 February 2026. The address on that scope is 400 Beaver Brook Road, Boxborough, Massachusetts. The scope dates this accreditation to 1 August 1995, shows an expiry of 1 November 2030, and lists an additional office in Cologne. A public North America group page dates operations in Canada, Mexico, and the United States to 1983. The Boxborough location page also names TUV Rheinland of North America Holding, Inc. at that address. The scope names the Inc.

TÜV SÜD is a different certification business. A UKAS schedule for TUV UK Limited is a different issuer. A proposal that says only "TÜV" has not named who will sign.

Who should shortlist TÜV Rheinland of North America

This is a general management-system registrar with a U.S. certificate address. Plants that need ISO 9001, with ISO 14001 or ISO 45001 beside it, and teams that need ISO/IEC 27001 or ISO/IEC 42001, are the usual fit. The February 2026 scope lists ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, ISO/IEC 27001:2013, ISO/IEC 27001:2022, and ISO/IEC 42001:2023. The 42001 line is dated 4 September 2025.

The three sector tables are not the same length. Quality is the wide one, including aerospace, information technology, construction, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and health and social work. It also lists AS9100:2016 and AS9120:2016. AS9110 is absent. If the customer asked for aerospace quality, read ISO 9001 vs AS9100 and confirm any IAQG OASIS listing for this legal entity.

Environmental lines include information technology and aerospace, and they omit pharmaceuticals, mining, construction, and health and social work. Occupational health and safety includes fabricated metal, basic metals, machinery, chemicals, and construction, and it omits information technology and aerospace. Confirm the IAF code for each site on the standard you are buying.

For an AI management certificate, use the schedule that names the mark your customer asked for. This ANAB scope lists ISO/IEC 42001:2023 and does not print the roles developer, producer, provider, and user. Ask which roles the audit will cover. This profile did not match a UKAS schedule to TUV Rheinland of North America, Inc. If the customer wants a UKAS mark, ask whether a TÜV Rheinland legal entity holds it.

The firm's public accreditations page still describes ANAB coverage as supplier quality systems and environmental management systems. The February 2026 scope is wider: it also lists ISO 45001, ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27701:2019, ISO/IEC 42001, and ISO 37301 (no edition year on that line). The same page links conditions for TÜV Rheinland Cert GmbH / LGA InterCert GmbH, another legal name. ISO 13485 and ISO 50001 do not appear on this issue. This directory does not tag 27701 or 37301.

The additional-office list runs through Latin America, Europe, and Asia, and it marks the Buenos Aires office as a critical location. The only United States address on the scope is Boxborough. Public pages also describe laboratories and other U.S. sites. Those addresses are absent from this office list. Ask which office will work the audit.

What to verify in a quote

  • The legal entity is TUV Rheinland of North America, Inc., not the holding company, not TÜV Rheinland Cert GmbH, not TÜV SÜD, and not TUV UK Limited.
  • The mark and the edition your customer named. The published scope includes ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and ISO/IEC 42001:2023.
  • For ISO/IEC 42001, that the mark you need is on the live schedule, and which AI roles are in the audit.
  • For ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, the IAF code for each site. A quality code is not the same line on the other two tables.
  • For aerospace, the scheme approval above the management-system scope.
  • Which office will audit, including whether a U.S. laboratory address is an accredited location.
  • Transfer terms if you already hold a certificate. That move is a certificate transfer. Name the accepting legal entity.
